thanks for your answers, but i only have one sister. we are their only cousins and i wouldn't think it is too hard to remember 2 days!

It should be between your sister and your Aunt. It is between them.

My birthday came and went and my sister usually calls me and she didn't. Although, somewhat hurt by it, I know my sister has had some issues and she can't remember things. I still love her and I will not hold it against her. I love her.

You shouldn't say anything to them. Just continue to be nice and polite and a loving niece. I am sure your aunt didn't do it intentionally. I am sure she would be devastated if she was "reminded" that she forgot. I would think that if someone reminded me, they were really looking for a present. To me that is greedy. Just a call is fine with me.

There may be many reasons for the oversight. IMHO its an honour to receive a gift, not a right.

Life's too short to take offence over a missed present and spoil Christmas.

No you shouldn't bring it up. Especially at Christmas, the only thing that would accomplish is making them feel bad. Unless thats your goal . Its your aunt, not your mom or dad. Sometimes its hard to keep up with every single persons birthday at once, cut her some slack.

I dont think you should worry about it. Being able to be here for a birthday is gift enough...alot of people do not get to see another birthday.........

Maybe you should give her a call to see if she received anything in the mail? It is pretty selfish of someone not to thank anyone for a gift that was given!

They just forgot. It happens alot; there could be things going on in their lives that you don't even know about. It really isn't anything to get offended about--choose your battles.

"The polite thing to do, is to mail them a Thanksgiving Card."

"If you want your gifts, send cards as a 'FORGET ME NOT',
rather than as a 'reminder that you didn't get me (in this case,
her), anything for her birthday'."
