Babies R Us, they have a ton of different bassinets. Here is a link.

I also considered a bassinet, but considereing the fact that it becomes useless after they get a certain age and they are pretty pricy, I would suggest putting one on a wish list and pray for one at the baby shower, or going to a consignment shop or someplace that has gently used furniture. If this is not your thing, then you can buy the bassinet. Just weigh the pros and cons of actually being able to use it.

You might want to try consignment shops. Not quite sure where you live but here on the west coast there are Once upon a child which are slightly used baby stuff. I am sure they have some sturdy bassinets/cradles.

Well, I dont know what you are looking for. The one I used was a new "antique" model.

But Walmart has a few that are nice.

My son was born long, so we didnt use our bassinet that long.

Good luck!

I have heard good things about the ones that have the sides that you can slide down and have them right next to the bed, so if you are breast feeding you can just reach for the baby. They also have the Co-Sleepers that you put in the middle of the bed that have sides on them to keep you from rolling on baby (This is great to take to hotels if you are breast feeding or the rooms are small)
