I feel you. The only recommendations I can give you are these:
Post your question on what I call Primetime... for Internet use. If you post your question when more people are logging in, more people are likely to see them. Otherwise, the few questions that are posted when few people are logged in will be displayed above yours. And soon, they will accumulate and your question won't even be displayed on the first page.
The other recommendation I can give you is to use a catchy "question." Not every Yahoo! "question" that is posted is in the form of a question. Often, the real question will be displayed in the details section. For example, in this question, you would have probably received more answers if you had left out "I want to get as many answers as possible.?" That would leave "Can everybody answer this question?" and make people curious as to what the question actually is.
Personally, I think Yahoo! Answers should allow us to determine when we want to stop receiving answers to our questions so that we allow more answers to come in. Hopefully, they'll get to it. They've been making a lot of changes.

what u should have done is have everyone answer plus star so that there contacts will also see it thus resulting in more answer
