If the plumbing is installed correctly, you shouldn't really need to use a product to keep them unclogged. If they are clogged, there are strong chemicals (be careful which you use, as some are not meant for certain types of pipe materials) that may help, but most likely the drain or fixture has to be snaked out.
If you regularly have problems with the drains, most likely there is an issue with the installation (for example, an old house trap that would have to be removed, pipes pitched the wrong way from hangers coming loose, etc.). Regular use of chemicals should not be necessary and is not recommended.

Bleach does absolutely nothing to UN CLOG, beyond that it's basic elemental structure reacts adversely to many other added substances.
A more important issue for you and anyone in that context is WHAT ARE YOU DOING,,,that might cause any CLOG???

Perhaps you'll understand; at some point; why plumbers charge $60 plus per hour to come out to calls such as this?

Being real careful what you put down them--no grease or oil or food...
A good drain snake from the hardware store can be a big help with hair clogs, you just have to go fishing down the pipe a little...

sure, i'm hoping you have not completed it yet . A terrible gruesome monster referred to as a" sewer snoid " will pass slowly out of your drain as quickly because it has fed on sufficient baking soda in seek for seconds . be careful and run on your existence . good success .

I read your answers and they're all good. Just remember the easiest way to keep your drains clear is to not put anything in them that doesn't belong! Get a strainer for your tub, don't put vegetable peels, eggshells, pasta, rice, or really much of anything down your disposal. Use a low foaming detergent. And as far as your toilet goes just remember "nothing goes down the toilet that hasn't first been in your mouth!" (except minimal toilet paper, unless your into that sort of thing). Ice cubes help to clear disposal too.

baking soda or bleach won't help much. Drano once in a while may help, but don't overuse it too much.
