In guild wars all you have to pay for is the disc, that disc includes you account and being able to play online. after you buy the game you no longer have to pay anything.

Guild Wars does not come with a monthly fee. You pay one time for and account key (online stores) or an account key with CD (retail stores). Once you have made that payment, you do not HAVE to pay again.

There are three games, expansion pack, and a small number of optional add-ons you can buy after you get a game. You don't HAVE to buy them.

You still have to pay your REAL internet access fee. (IE Roadrunner, Bell South, or Dial-up). If you stop paying that, you stop having internet.

The only thing you would have to pay for is any orders you make through the online store (like the Core Skill Pack, mini-pets, etc) Other than that, there is no monthly fee. :)
