The word capitalism is understood differently in the US and South America and other places. In many places the word for capitalism is what we call individualism. True capitalism as we know it in the US must be socially responsible, law abiding, and regulated. There is no such thing as pure capitalism. This means that business people sometimes break the law and usually act in their own self interest. This is also true of government, churches, families, sports organizations, and baseball stars. and many others. When they become irresponsible, the community corrects their misdeeds. If people have something worthwhile to say, some enterprising media group will support them.
