Is writing a book hard?

I love reading but don't writing essays doesn't excite. will writing a book be different?

Writing a book is like running a marathon, whereas writing an essay is more like a sprint. When you are doing it, it feels like its going to take forever, when you hit the wall it feels like it is impossible to finish but if you prepare yourself well and keep on going you will find that it wasn't all that hard and you may even want to try it again sometime.

Thinking about writing is easy, actually doing it is something different. It may be a tired old clichè but its true that its only 10% inspiration and 90% perspiration.

Writing a book is like driving a car or having sex. Everyone thinks they can do it and do it well, and in reality, very few can.

Writing fiction and writing nonfiction are 2 different animals. Writing a non fiction book takes solid research and very good organization of your material.

Writing a fiction book is different than writing an essay because you have to create a sustainable plot for the length of the story and you have to create characters that develop in some way throughout the story.

Oh, yeah, and then there's that whole publishing thing......

Writing a really difficult scene gives you this incredible drug-free high.

Being interrupted while you're writing such a scene brings you crashing painfully back to Earth.

Writing is both heaven and hell. Everyone hates starting to write, but loves it when they have written.

It depends i love writing, but it is defferent for everyone. You must try it. i love it because when i am reading or writng i feel as though .................................................as though i am emersed in the story and i no longer exist as though it is just the story that exist. Sometimes when i get like that my friends have to pull my out and then i feel as if a was asleep or in a stupor and though its strange i luv it, it's my life!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
