Well, I think we are obviously moving forward in time.

What would it mean for time to be "approaching us?"

Time is theoretical construct for our use. So, does it really exist in fact? In other words, if humans did not exist, would time still exist? What need for time when no intelligent life exists?

Answer those aspects for yourself first before tackling the idea that time moves in a certain direction.

There are different ways to look at it...

As a species or entity of thoughtful life, we are moving through time as we all move seamlessly without a second thought as to where we are headed.

However, to each individual, time is approaching us because we fear our lack of it, we are nearing our own ends and we quite simply wish we had more.

Intriguing question "old man". I believe time approaches us in the sequential pattern of future, present, and past time. Christmas is fast approaching and there is nothing you or I can do to stop it. HO Ho HO. Merry Christmas to you and yours "old man".
