2-1/8" for the lock and 1" for the edge bore

Kwikset locks are 21/8 with a 1"throw.

Go back to where you bought the lock, they should have a drill guide set that you clamp on to the door. this will have the right size bits, and a template to make sure the holes line up correctly. the one I have cost me less then 15 bucks and makes this an easy job.

depends on what kind you have,? is it a dead bolt,? or a barrel bolt, need more info
