Because, little tinkle Bell, your children love you and have no comprehension as to what is happening to you!
They want you to be better. The mom of before feeling ill.
The mother they recognize is well.
They do not want to lose you, so, they fight because of exasperation and frustration at something they can not correct, as if by magic.
And Fighting attracts your attention, as well as well as releasing their protest that they resent seeing you ill.

Cause they are evil. I have three and they do the same thing to me. Arrghh...
Mine really do have a tender heart to WANT to be good, but then again I say WANT. What they actually do is TRY and not very hard.
I hope you feel better. is there someone you can call to take them for a couple of hours? I hope so. I haven't got anyone local that I can TRULY depend on. My hubby is a firefighter so he is gone a lot and he can't exactly leave work; he lives at his station 3 to 5 days a week.
Get well soon!

Because kids feed off of the sickness of adults. They know the best times to act up are when mom's not well or on the phone, or when mom and dad have disappeared into their bedroom and the door is shut.

I wouldn't be any good at sorting 'em out for you, I give time outs that involve math equations and they hate it. Hope you feel better or get ahold of a dollar store math book soon!

poor you.

Kids know that mothers give undivided attention, whether you are at deaths door, bubonic plague, on the phone, watching TV! However when the boot is on the other foot and they are "ill" we turn into Florence nightingale!

My 3 year old woke us up at 3.20 this morning to proudly tell us he had wet the bed! he would not go back to sleep after we changed his bed etc, consequently now at 6.40pm he is a bear with a sore head, tired, grouchy, but will He go to bed! Oh no he knows best!

My sympathy's are deeply rooted with you honey!

Coz that's what they do best - welcome to parenthood - problem is, they aren't misbehaving any more badly than normal - you're just down at the moment coz you feel poorly.

BUT, a slap across the back of the head with a lump of 4 x 2 usually sorts them out.

I AM JOKING OF COURSE

I wish I knew the answer to this. I guess mothers can never be sick. They do the same thing when I talk on the telephone. I guess they want our undivided attention is all .
