Change occurs very slowly in this country (it's called stability) so I wouldn't look for significant change until he's been gone for awhile.

This is true despite what Presidential wannabes would have you believe and certainly despite what some of the wackier lefties here on YA would have you believe. To that crowd, George Bush is evil personified and the world is going to be such a very, very wonderful place (again) once he's out of office.

I'd suggest to you that the day Bush is out of office will be a day just like any other. In reality, I mean - not in terms of how you may feel on that particular day.

I am hoping for better as well and part of that is to stop the wealthy from stealing from the poor! It can only get worse if someone like Giuliani is elected. Ask him how many firefighters bodies he scooped up and deposited them in the Staten Island Dump!

I can't remember how the saying goes but it says something like this. Keep you enemies close as your friends you don't have to worry about. Bush has no dialog with people he views as not our friends, and thus has no foreign policy and no way to open a dialog.

I have been around a long time and I have NEVER seen anything like this, including Richard Nixon and Ronald Reagan, our convicted war criminal for Iran/Contra! Selling missiles to our enemies Ronnie could be seen as treason.

Things will get much better in the US and around the world once Bush is out of office.

I don't care if it's one of the leading Democrat or Republican candidates, they'll be smarter and most importantly sane in order to lead our country in a very different direction.

Republicans, most of you are on the Bush TEAM. It's has nothing to do with you personally. His administration has been a disaster. Deal with it and find someone better.

as soon as rudy guliani takes office, things will get better immediately. no more economy issue, no more border issue, no more iraq issue, no more spending and deficit issue, no more tax hike issue, no more crime issue...i could go on for a while but, suffice it to say, the only real problem guliani will encounter is the liberal dipshits in washington and i don't think he'll put up with their crap the way bush did. bush is such a disappointing little wuss when it comes to these treasonous democrats, guliani probably would have had them all in irons by now...what? i can dream can't i?...lol...

It will take years to dig out of the mess Bush has caused - if we can get out of it at all.

----

Clinton took the oath of office January 20, 1993. - barely a month before terrorists detonated more than 1,000 pounds of explosives under the World Trade Center on February, 26 , killing six and injuring about a thousand people. Bill Clinton and the Democrats never dreamed of trying to blame the outgoing George Herbert Walker Bush Administration.

Instead, what did the Clinton Administration do?

Found and had arrested four of Sheik Omar Abdel Rahman's disciples
Gave them a speedy trial where all were convicted them for the bombing
Sentenced them to 240 years in prison
All by March 1994, only 13 months after the bombing.

Officials captured the prime suspect Ramzi Ahmed Yousef in 1995. A court convicted him in November 1997 and sentenced him to 240 years in prison as well.

Dubya halted the Cole inquiry and called home the dozens of FBI and other federal agents Clinton had sent to investigate the incident.

Hmm...some people think this"8 more years of (Clinton) peace & prosparity" thats nonsense. I remember the 1st WTC bombing, The attack on the USS Cole, Numerous embassy bombings, Somalia, Kosovo, etc, etc,.......

Nothing changes

It's just a different person in office.

If Hillary gets the president position then expect all hell to break loose.

I can see it now. Another terrorist attack hits the US and Hillary makes the announcement that the terrorists are picking on her because she's a (cough cough) woman.

Then it depends on who wins.

If a republican wins, things will go on as they are now.

If a democrat wins, they will make slight cosmetic changes to a few programs, tout them as major changes, and go on like things are now.

We will still be in Iraq.
We will not do anything different in Afghanistan.
The patriot act will still be there.
We will still wire tap terrosist suspects.
Gitmo will still be there.
There will be no universial health care
There will not be a stop to illegal immigration.
We will still have a deficit
We will still have a trade deficit
Outsourcing will continue

Campaign promises are like your wish list to a Mall Santa Claus, forgotten as soon as they are said.

I think Bush has done enough damage to this country that no matter who gets elected afterward, it will be a rough road for many years.
