Dell and HP are good for your needs. Get one with the Intel Centrino Duo or Core 2 Duo, or AMD x2 if that's within your budget. To save money, go with a smaller 14" display instead of 15.4 or larger display.
Look for sales after Thanksgiving. Stores like Best Buy or Circuit City often have pretty good deals, and you can check online to see where you can get the best prices. Good luck with the decision.

I wouldn't recogmend a Dell Laptop. they're pretty slow. But HP laptops are very good for work and personal use. If you want to have internet on it make sure you have wireless on it and then get a wireless router.

type is significant. examine out Dell. they have intense high quality stuff for functional fees, and that they build to greater healthful what you pick. in straightforward terms a be conscious - by no potential by no potential by no potential purchase a Compaq! They wreck constantly, and the business business enterprise is a nightmare to handle while they do! I had one that broke after 2 weeks, I sent it to them for maintenance during the business business enterprise i offered it from, and that they lost it. It exchange into long previous for 4 months in my first semester of grad college! After that it broke 3 greater situations. The final time my warantee exchange into merely approximately up, I sent it to them, and that they did no longer hassle to repair it. They sent it returned nonetheless broken, and refused to repair it after the warantee ran out (even however I sent it to them earlier it exchange into up!). horrific!
