I was serving in Viet Nam in 1968 when my father was killed stateside in a trucking accident - I am conservative and definitely not a "fortunate son."
You might be somewhat surprised at the number of conservatives who have earned the right to "talk a good game" rather than simply criticize and demean any opposing view points.

Well, I'm 50 years old, I've done my time in the military and you're no reverend nor do you have the mental capability to be in the military. You're just a whiny liberal that will never amount to anything worth a penny. I bet you are even on welfare and you are waiting for universal health care so you don't have to pay for anything.

BTW, I'm also a minster.

Not me

Went into the military at 18 years old, spent six years serving uncle sam. Learned a trade, earned my honorable discharge and went on to work in corporate America. Have spent the rest of my life working hard, starting a family. Living the American dream.

No handouts from my Government, not asking it to provide anything for my family nor I. My Family lives quite well, and if I could do it anyone can, its just a matter of strive and achieve. Anyone can sit back and whine about how well off everyone else is.

After hearing about Rush Limbaugh's Remark
about "phony soldiers," I think you have every right to be asking. I guess maybe you asked because you don't see any conservatives coming to the defense of these so called "phony soldiers" and maybe there is a hidden agenda as why they do not want to.

Not me. My parents were poor, in part because liberals taxed them for trying to work their way out of poverty instead of relying on government hand-outs. Now take your liberalism and shove it.

One of the best anti-war songs ever composed. Most conservatives aren't fortunate sons. They're just ordinary, average chickenhawks.

Good one!

Most of them. They are also many well-manicured chickenhawks who see the laboring class as unfit to have a life. Its overcompensation for their bitter effeminate qualities.

Not me. I worked my *** off for everything i own. I didn't need affirmative action or any damn government program to help me either.
Zinger, The LAZY would have a good quality of life if they would pick themselves up by the boot straps and quit expecting the government to make them equal.
