I constantly am calling everyone "hun"
I'm not exactly a flirtatious person, thats just how I talk. To everyone. I'm sure some of my contacts have noticed that..
Of course, I'm more likely to say that to a friend, then a stranger. lol.

The other day, I was talking to a friend of a friend, and I said something like "Oh hun, blah-blah-blah". I could tell it freaked him out a little, but I didnt say anything about it because that would make it seem like a big deal. Hopefuly he figures out I didnt really mean anything by it...

If you are always using terms of endearment, have you ever had an experience like that? Where someone took it the wrong way?

Pie, sweetie, honey-pie, dear one, sweet pie, are the ones I use every day of my work week. I'm a primary teacher, but even older children love to be referenced by these terms. I mostly use them because I can't remember all the names and don't know quite a few (not in my class, but I am popular with the children, probably for this reason!) I think they all need to be spoken to in terms that declare they are special. Like pie, they eat it up. Might be the only time some of them get spoken to nicely all day.
I don't do it with adults. Sorry. You should have explained to the friend of the friend immediately.

That's why I have gay guy friends. I try my best to act lady like infront of straight, cute guys because I don't want them to get the wrong impression that I'm easy or something.
Yet when they're gone I get deprived so I start hitting on my gay guy friends lol. I'll tell them they're a hott ***** and "you turn me the **** on" and I use all these crazy pick up lines. It's hilarious when some of them tell me, "EW! If only a guy told me that...boo hoo" Hitting on a gay guy doesn't make me feel derogatory because I know they don't like me like THAT anyway. Yet people around sometimes wonder xD

You know what is amazing? I was in California and I told this guy that he was sexy like Micheal Jackson. When I left his friend told me that he liked me.

I use to do that. It's often seen as flirtatious or makes someone feel like your talking down to them so sounds like you may need to slow up on the endearment.

I've gotten in the habit of calling everyone sweetie lately. I don't mean to, it just comes out. But when you start saying it to guys, it becomes a problem ^^'

Yes, I use them all the time--though not on my neighbors in the crackhouse or the methlab.

Seriously, I tended bar, worked in restaurants, casinos, and a couple of very friendly offices....so it just comes out naturally, darlin'.

I Call Everyone "Love."

I'll Be Like.. "Aw, Love Don't Say That.... Blah Blah.."

Or "Hello Love! How Are You Today?"

People Look At Me Like.. "....O_o....."

I use "Hun" a lot too but it's usually more condescending than flirtatious.

Not really. A lot of my friends do, but I usually refer to people as "woman!" or "boy!"
