Eighty-eight years ago the veterans of WWI camp out on the mall in Washington. They were there because our government reneged on it's promise made to the draftees. They promised them medical care for any & all injured, low interest loans for them to buy houses & pensions for those that were serverely wounded. After they weren't needed to fight, the government welched on their promises. That very same thing has been happening with every war since then. We spend much of our time condeming each other about not "supporting the troops". The government is the worse offender of all. We, as a people, must get smarter!!!

The legislative technique is complicated. What became the replace being linked too? it would desire to have been a ploy, itself, to 'stress' people who've a coverage of 'helping' the troops to vote for an in any different case unacceptable bill. extremely some those kinds of shinanigans flow on interior the Senate. nonetheless, if no longer something, one among those provision would make it extra durable to place a adequate form of troops on the floor, and would not that make it extra risky for people who remained?

God knows that I support the troops. My older son was in the Gulf War. But I do NOT support our lying smirking President and his buddies. Re. poor treatment for our military, this has been a ongoing situation, occurring long before Bush. Young people are truly cannon fodder, and many return to absolutely NOTHING. No home, no money, poor medical attention, alcohol and drug abuse in order to cope, and often a broken marriage. It hurts just to think about it, and there's not a damn thing I can do except pray. I'll vote Independent next time, and of course I never voted for Bush. Oh yes, and when Dubya boasted "bring em' on", he was referring to the battle of Armageddon. Read a fine book "The Fall of the House of Bush" by Craig Unger. Its at your library, and is a great read..

Bush cut VA Hospitals in 2006 while they were treating 105,000 Iraqi Vets. Then he gave Tax cuts to the top 1% of the wealthiest in this country. He has no problem giving Blackwater Billions!
Republicans only support the troops getting killed. They don't care if they have PTSD, closed brain trauma, or lost their limbs. They never have all the way back to Vietnam. Right Dick?

And let's not forget that those SAME Republicans (President and Congress) SENT those troops over there under false pretenses to get slaughtered and maimed, for NOTHING!! And are KEEPING them there. For NOTHING!! **Some** way to "support" the troops!
The BEST way to support the troops: Bring them ALL home from Iraq -- NOW!

Wow ... this is a non-biased question. Why would i even bother answering this tripe? If you see everything in shades of black and white, you must be a joy to be around.
P.S. Republicans aren't the only ones running Walter Reed, Einstein. This is the reason i'm now an independent ... both parties are populated by IDIOTS.

Because they are chickenhawks who fight the war on their couch while watching Fox News.
I see people like this severely wounded vet at my VA hospital all the time. It's the Republicans who forget them once they've used them.

Republicans seriously believe that the only way to support the troops is to support whatever mission they are sent on, no matter how illegal or insane it is.
They see the troops as disposable because they volunteered.
