This is disgusting but heres the link. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/scotland/glasgow_and_west/7095134.stm

My question is - how can he have comitted a crime? If it was his bicycle then I don't see the problem - if it's your property you can do what you want with it in my opinion!

While this guy is obviously very deeply disturbed, I also question whether the behavior is criminal in any way. Getting him some type of psychiatric help would be, IMHO, a much better solution.

What makes this a crime was that he was in a hostel, not his own home. He may have intentionally not responded to the maids knocking. If so, his sexual exposure would be a breach of the peace, or however the British Law has worded this US Law. All of these items should have been addressed in court before guilt determined and punishment mandated. What surprises me is the requirement to register as a sex offender. Not sure if that would have happened in the US.

When I was younger:

"The village bike"

was a local lady who was available for male advances.

Village bike - everyone has ridden it

This guy was just very drunk and he was confused.

On a more serious note.

It is getting so as we cannot do anything in this country of ours without the Police or some agency being involved.

This was just a sad and lonely old guy and he is now a sex offender.

Thank God this man was stopped. I wonder how many bicycles were raped before this man was caught. The police want to hear from Huffy and other brand name bicycles to see if they recognize this man. Everyone should talk to their bikes no matter what brand to see if they were molested by this man.

LOL, that made me laugh alot. Yeah it probably isn't a crime but its damn right odd and probably very disturbing for other people. Does the average person try to have sex with a bike?

Well...........how about a woman pretending to "getting it" with a tree? True story. A lady working for a Orchard Farm and got "caught in the act". The man supervisor said she did have her clothes on but was doing the "motions". My good friend told me about that because she knows these people!

They say 'breach of the peace', and yet he was in his own home, and was alone until the cleaners turned up. It's probably not a crime, but it's still disgusting. It's probably me being naive, but I never dreamed that people did things like this!
