I bought two beardies in September(male & female), im concerned that the male is growing much faster than the female(she eats very little) im worried that the bigger he gets the more aggressive he will become toward her or will they be ok having been kept together since day 1?

Of course that is normal. Males in real life tend to get bigger faster and are stronger the same goes for dogs. Male dogs have tend to grow faster and peak in strength faster them female dogs. If you male is growing faster there is not worry...although it your female is growing faster then I would worry about your male dog. He seems to be having some issues. Keeping them together should be perfectly fine. Since the male is growing faster is should only attract them to each other more that normally. They should be perfectly fine together. You don't need to worry about them unless the male starts to hurt her. I don't mean like play fighting because that means they are doing well together but if he starts to really hurt her then I would suggest taking them apart from each other. Since they have been together from day 1 I would say they will get right along and have no problems.

i have 2 beardies-1 is a puppy and one is the mother. the baby does eat a LOT more than the mother, but that just mught be my dogs. the puppy (who is now a year old) is a lot bigger than the mother now. they still play and are not agressive over the food. if u are very concerned about the female, u should hand feed her when the other one is gone. (i know this sounds like too much work, but when the mother isnt eating, thats how we get her to eat). also, make sure u r paying enough attention to the female. she mught get jealous (yes it happens) and it could supress her apetite. yes, we all have our favrotism, but it is for the health of the dogs. if the female starts to not eat, u should take her to the vet. it could juast be that she has a small apetite, but uits always better to be sure. i hope this helps

It sounds like they are housed together... Separate them!!! Immediately!

Males will be larger than females no matter what, but you NEED to separate them because (1) you have a male and female together and the male will be reproductively ready before the female but she'll still be able to breed, which means that there will be series health risks involved in that!
(2) Because the male is getting larger, he will begin to bully the female into both mating and out of food, causing MORE undo stress upon her. The more stress, the weaker her immune system becomes, meaning the more likely she will become ill.
(3) Bearded dragons are solitary animals and should NEVER bee housed together, even if from day one.

ya I would think so, cause males tend to be bigger than females. But do keep a eye out for agression from the bigger one, Beardeds are very agressive. it does worry me that your female eats only a lil' I'd have her checked out she might be sick.
