No matter how much we care for them and try to relieve the good old memories with them, we need to understand that THEY are not the same person whom we live with.
The past is past, the moment when they decided a break off, they are a CHANGED person, its time to move on. whether you still contact or not, the relationship is not the same anymore.
the most difficult part is to still live in hope that he/she will come back to u, if they would, they will do so. don't live in false hope as reality is cruel.

I wouldn't. I recently got out of a relationship myself, a lot of crap happened. He was good to me. But, I kept a few of his things for a while....like clothes & pics & others. Pretty soon I realized I needed to let go & move on.
I suggest burning them.
That's what I done.
Burnt everything.

Nope, my ex was like can you send me all my photos back, and so I did. When she received them she was all like omg that's so ****** up I didn't think you would send them back. I did love her, but why should I have kept her photos if she wanted them back and cheated on me with a cholo from compton, but now he's in prison and she wants me back. I wanted to give you a star but I reached my daily limit.

What does any of that have to do with keeping old photos?
I sure do keep them. Every picture is worth keeping. After all, it was a part of my life and helped to make me who I am today. I don't hang on to them with any kind of false hope, it's kind of like a scrapbook of my life. I wouldn't part with any aspect of it.

I destroy pictures and the like, after a break up. To keep such things would not be respectful of my current gal, and would indicate that I haven't gotten over my ex yet.

I have kept emails and voicemails for much longer than I should have and when I erased them it was for the best but it was hard to let them go

I keep them in a trunk under my aquarium so I cant look that often.

Yeah, I have loads of photo in my computer of my ex.........I have saved it as a hidden file............I don't want her to know I still keep it.
