This is every Fan's dream: to produce a movie of their favorite book. To me, it is a question not only about our likes, but about what we think it is possible to do in a two-three hour film. Really, when you look at it, some of the greatest works of the genre would make terrible films, but there are a few that just scream out to be made into feature-length productions.

The Hobbit. However, it would be a crying shame to cram this fantastic book into a mere 3 hours. Look what they did to LOTR!

2nd choice is my 2nd favorite: The Sword in the Stone. This might actually be possible in 3 hours. A simply fantastic story.

3rd choice: Journey to the Center of the Earth. My favorite scifi, and no film even rating "decent" has ever been made of this wonderful work.

Well, "Lord of the Rings" and "Star Wars" have been done, but I can't really narrow it down to just one, so I'll pick TWO.

1. The Hobbit, because I'm getting fed up waiting for Peter Jackson and New Line to kiss and make up.

2. "A Canticle for Liebowitz" by Walter M Miller. Interesting post-apocolyptic story about humanity's rebirth after a nuclear holocaust and our failure to learn from past mistakes and repeat history.

Ready Player One by Ernest Cline. It's a MUST MUST MUST read! Beware there is some cuss words, but for the most part it didn't take away from the book. Great into book into SciFi, with a good characters to back it up.

It would have to be a trilogy, but I would choose the Freedom series by Anne McCaffrey

Bartlemaeus Trilogy "The Golum's Eye"

(I would pick 'Artemus Fowl", but that is being done; I would also like to do my adaptation of 'Killer Planet', but that is merely a short story)
