Depending on the games you want to play Halo 1,2, and 3
or Ratchet and Clank (I believe there is 4 or 5 of those)
control style matters too, as far as graphics ?either or?
As for sport and racing X-box 360 has Forza and Project Gotham PS3 has all the PS1, PS2, games and Grand Trismo? on the exact name/spelling but
most sport and racing comes out on all of the new platforms!
Personally If I buy a new system, definitely PS3
but I kinda think the whole gaming thing is over rated if you ask me,(My opinion only)
I've had everything from an Atari, SNES, N64 to X-box, and my best friend had or has PS2

I'd say xbox, nfs, project gotham racing, forza and all of those have already come out for xbox and sports games are also out for xbox, you would also have a very big community to play with/against in xboxlive compared to the small community in ps online. For that person that said ps3 has all the games from ps1 or 2, PS3 is not backwards compatible with ps2 and ps1, it uses blue ray format not dvd/cd format. Xbox360 is backwards compatible with xbox.
