After months of fighting and crying me and my best friend aren't best friends anymore and she is sorta popular it's not that i wanna be popular it's just that i think she might make fun of me!!!!! What should i do?

I don't want to make be friends with her anymore and i've tried talking to her and it doesn't work i just don't want her and her new popular friends to make fun and a joke out of me and i wanna make neww and true friends

First of all you need to learn exactly what a 'best friend' is! Are you a best friend? Do you even know exactly what a best friend is??? What are the characteristics of a truly best friend??
I'd start by asking right here at Yahoo: "what is a best friend" and see what the other posters have to offer you or look up "best friend" on google, at the library, in relationship books, under self esteem or where ever you feel you can learn about 'best friends'.
For me, a best friend is:
1. Absolutely 100% honest and truthful - no secrets, no white lies, no tricks, no back-biting, no games, etc. Good, clean, direct, friendly communication.
2. Good will and respect and if/when something goes wrong, a commitment to working things out and talking it over INSTEAD of resorting to anger and intimidation or stony silence.
3. 100% trust and honor. Should something go wrong - same solution as above - work it out as good friends.
There's a lot more but this is a good start.........

If she makes fun of you, she's not your best friend. Rethink if she's really worth spending this much time over. If she talks about you, so what, then she's petty and has way to much time on her hands. Forget about her but if she makes fun of you, ignore her and remember that she's just trying to get back at you. Make some new friends and let her live her 'popular' life. Trust me, it won't last long.

well, if she is makin fun of u -she aint a reel friend.thats how girls act when they become popular-i seen the movies first they're ur friend at first and then when they hang out with the popular girls they ditch u and make u a joke.dont worry u can always have new and reel friends.if u need a friend u can email me if ya wanna.

Don't tell her secrets. That's just plain out childish. You should talk to her about it. You don't have to be friends, but just let her know how you feel about the whole situation. If she makes fun of you then it only shows how immature she is.

REmind her that it is only u 2 that will truly be friends forever, if she blows u off for the popular girls then sit back and hang out with others adn just wait she'll come back. it's always like that. Just be supported of her...
