Are people who have affairs happy?

Yeah there's the old cake n eat it theory but what's the reality?

I'd doubt very much that they're happy.
First of all, there must have been something lacking in their married life to go get it elsewhere.
Next, they may be getting some excitement out of the fear of getting caught.

Depends - those who have a string of casual affairs probably shouldn't have committed themselves in the first place. They are constantly seeking but will probably never find happiness. i believe people who have affairs are unhappy with themselves, and have these affairs because they think it will make them happy. how could anyone be happy being deceitful and having to lie all of the time. i think they are very unhappy people who are searching for something outside of their selves, but in reality what they seek is right inside themselves.
