Do things promptly. Keep a calendar and mark down assignments and when they are due. DO NOT WAIT UNTIL THE DAY BEFORE to start them. If you have 3 week to some something, do it the first week. Then you have 2 weeks to review and be sure it is everything you want it to be.

When you read an assignment, use a high-lighter to mark special words, date, name, issues, results, etc. Next time you review you can just read the marked areas without having to read each word. If you practice this method you will be surprised how well it works. Sometimes, I would go through and type up a list of just those words and then I could review from my single typed sheet. The key words will pull back to your memory the entire passage.

One little trick I used if you have a list to memorize. Use the first letter of each word in the list and make up a stupid sentence. An orange can make strange noises when you drive. Then each first letter will remind you of your list.

The best thing you can do IS REMEMBER WHY YOU ARE AT COLLEGE. It is not to just party and drinking. It is to learn and prepare yourself for a good future, while you are making new lifetime friends. And please avoid the people who would waste your precious time.

Keep up with all of your homework assignments. Pay attention in class and read, read, read. Try to take good notes that are easy to follow that you can study from when needed. Go over your notes daily to keep the material fresh in your mind.
Good Luck...
