Yes. The ONLY way myspace is safe is if:

1. you keep your profile on private (where only your friends can see it)

2. ONLY add people you know. and if you add them thinking you know them then end up not knowing them DELETE them immediately.

3. Do not give out ANY personal information your first name and age is ok unless your under 13.

4. don't put any "bad" pictures on your myspace. (I'm going to leave it as that)

5. be smart, if you have second thoughts about adding something. don't add it.

Myspace is one of the largest sites for internet pedofila on the net they are working on security with law enforcement now to make things safer for kids but I will not believe it till I see the first arrest made so do I think it is safe no becuase it is not being used for its original purpose of being created now it is a social network instead of a contact blog for businesses and bands

never reveal a personal information like you say and you will be safe.you can set your profile private[only can be viewed by you and your friends],which i didn't.never post a revealing pics of yourself or any person related to you[friends,family,spouse].never add a stranger,which i did add and received a friend request from.

i think if you dont give out info and set it toprivate then its just as safe as any other website! includeing yahoo answers!

Yes it can be depending on how u use it. You can place restrictions on there and not post any personal information.

of course it is, my kids are on it constantly and they have never encountered any problems. it's people you encounter in person that should be more of a concern
