Wow, crazy subject for an English class! There are so many answers to that. When it began? Very early in history I'm sure. Most people think of rape as a pervert waiting in an alley or wherever for a woman to come along and... Rape is usually about power. It is being used in places in Africa now as a form a warfare. By raping the women, you take them from their husbands and fathers, look up Darfur and Amnesty International for more on that. It is also used in prisons to instill fear in the weak, gain or keep power. Then there are things like date rape, where the lines can be blurry as to who wanted what. There are also date rape drugs. Then of course you have all kinds of wierdos out there that prey on others for whatever reason, but rape is not about sex. Hope I didn't ramble too much to be of help, but it's a huge subject. Best of luck on your project.

when did man start. but what i think hes looking for is when did it become a punishable crime. rape want always rape and it wasnt always against the law. women use to have no rights nor did children. basically woman and children could were considerd as cattle and nad had no use othe r than fincial gain. also rape use to be looked at as a discrace tio the violated and the violateds family. you wher consisder less then disarable. as for when it was consisderd rap that i dont know. also you might want to look at when did it become in the laws that a husband could rape his wife. thats a whole other issue. its still debated today.rape is a ver touchy subject so choose your words carefully in your presentation. this is a report where you will neeed to use your heart and the facts
