My soon to be ex is from the United States (PA) and moved back home leaving me with our baby, 7 months ago.
He has not paid any money to me at all with regards to child support, and I believe he is not working at the moment.
Is there anything I can do to legally enforce a regular payment, without having to travel to the US?

You should apply for a Reciprocal Enforcement of Maintenance Orders in Ireland, you need apply to a family court take all your paper work along, and the USA have an agreement with many different countries about Maintenance Orders, and Ireland is one of them.
If your paper work is in order they may deal with it the same day.
Good luck with this

Was your daughter born in Ireland or the USA? The country that you gave birth should be the ones to tell you what you have to do to get support from the father. It could cost more than what you will receive back, in time, money, and efforts. I understand she's only 7 months, and there are alot of years to bring her to the age of being on her own, but the distance between the two of you makes the problem almost unsolvable. Good Luck- Look to the Good Lord to give you the help to get the support you will need for your little girl.

You can't force him to pay. The child support will build up and build up, then he will lose his driver's license. If he gets a job, they will take the child support right out of his check. That is if he gets a legitimate job that the pay is reported. In the mean time look for a job your self. If you can't rely on him, then you will have to be the bread winner for you and your child.

Yes, I'm sure you can do something. I'm sorry I can't think of the organizations, but start making phone calls and you'll figure it out. I know we have Irish consulates, etc.
Call a lawyer in your country, see what he says.
They don't charge anything just to see if they can help.
