We’ve had another great year on Yahoo! Answers, thanks to the people in the Answers community who take the time to ask and answer questions that keep us all interested, engaged, and often entertained. In fact, we spend so much time together online, it would be nice to meet up and get to know each other a little better in person.

Members of the Yahoo! Answers team will be in the Washington, D.C., area, on November 30 and we thought it would be a great opportunity to meet up with folks in the Answers community who live on the East Coast. Nothing formal or fancy, just a fun evening of food, drink, and conversation with others who are just as passionate about Yahoo! Answers as you are. So if you live in or near the nation’s capital (or even if you’re just passing through), please come and meet the people behind Yahoo! Answers, as well as your fellow Answerers.

Think you can make it? Great! Go to the event page on Upcoming.org where you can RSVP (you must be at least 18 years old to attend) and get additional details.

For those of you too far from D.C. to attend, we encourage you to organize your own meetups in your area. Some of you have bounced this idea around for a while, so why not use the upcoming event as a springboard for your own gatherings? You could swap stories in person and give your keyboard a rest.

We hope to see you in Washington!

Yes, I'd seen someone mention it. I can't go, but I think it would be great to meet the people I've gotten to know here. There's a lot I'd like to know from the Y/A answers team, not sure they'd have that kind of time. LOL

Not interested in meeting the Yahoo team, and meeting them in Washington (and isn't that "interesting"; Washington!), of all places! Very strange to say the least.

Interested in getting a MEETING UP AND GOING FOR SENIORS SOMETIME NEXT YEAR. WE ARE WORKING ON IT.

Thanks for the post daisyemae

But thanks for the post dasemea.

The sound of a lot of human beings paying for up all form of nutrients for their Christmas feasts! and yuletide songs floating out of the keep stereo audio device. And such extremely some shoppers asserting or replying with Merry Christmases to me and mine! Merry Christmas Dizz costly and all my splendiferous Contacts on Y!A !!! oxoxox :)

I truly would have gone if they had given us a little more time to re-arrange our work schedules. I would have made the 5 hour drive to see everyone. Hope you all have a great time!

If they pay for my travel, I'll attend.

Geez, I'm already workin' for free as it is!

I hope they have a smashing party & a grant waiver form to use at tax time! (insert laughter)........

Sorry, I cannot attend.

I'm not allowed to leave California.

Well Daisymae, you have surprised me. Are you employed by Yahoo Answers? I won't be anywhere near Washington DC on November 30 but thanks for the invitation.

I really can't, but I'd love to. I'm recently disabled. We are planning to get an RV & travel when he retires. I'll send pics & a letter if that would be OK.
