I am already 10dpo, so it shouldn't effect much should it?

Here's my chart, I took my temp vaginally this morning:

I have been told by my doctor to ALWAY temp either vaginally or rectally.. reasons being that your mouth may have altered temps due to cold/flu, or snoring, mouth breathing. Plus if you temp vaginally or rectally it is much closer to the area we are monitoring.. your reproductive organs!

You're fine. You do not need to switch the way you take your temp. Anyway you must in one cycle take your temp the same way every day for the results to be accurate (either orally or vaginally). Temps taking vaginally tend to be higher than oral temps. (And that's exactly what your chart shows.) According to the book, Taking Charge of Your Fertility, you should take your temp orally unless you can't get a clear temperature pattern.

Disregard today's temp and go back to taking your temp orally for the rest of your cycle.

Noooooo. Never never switch methods in the same cycle. Oral temps run lower than vaginal temps, so you'll skew your chart. Whatever method you start off with on cycle day 1, you have to stick with it.

Don't discard today's temp... but note in your notes section that it was taken vaginally and go back to temping orally tomorrow. Also, note "illness" on your chart as well so that those temps will be flagged.

Good luck.
