yeah, If I make anymore, I will be moved into THAT bracket, that one you definitly dont want to be in. I already pay 30% in income taxes alone, 30% freaking percent and thats a real number thats not "oh you get some back", hell no thats what they KEEP. Why in the hell would I want to make a small amount more and move into the higher bracket which only put me at a lower NET pay?

Why would you even think you would be paying for someone else's health care anyway in a system that would allow free medical care for everyone.....I mean you would have to get "paid under the table" to not have taxes taken out...and plus you are assuming there would just be an "open" door policy for medical treatment. Do you not considered there would be some restrictions on a free health care system...in the very least, I would imagine they would need to verify you have legal employment or if you can't be employed then verify disability or something to that effect.....
Besides that, I would imagine we would all save money in the long run, because I don't think the rise in taxes would even come close to what most have to pay for private health insurance now.... If I'm wrong in my thinking, then prove it to me and I will be glad to admit it....

And why should I pay for the roads you drive on just because I'm in even a higher tax bracket then you?
Second reason.. Would you rather pay a little more from your wages or pay alot more when you go get service from doctors and hospitals because they are making up the difference they lost by sick childrens inability to pay? You know they aren't gonna lose..

We are none of us self-sufficient.
I suggest you donate most of your income to a charity of your choice. Then you can enjoy the advantages of a lower tax bracket, and you will have some control over how your money gets spent. Meanwhile, you will have done your bit to reduce the ever-increasing gap between rich and poor. Something to feel proud of.

Because most people in your country, when faced with the choice between those children dying while you drive an even more expensive car and those children getting healthcare while you drive a marginally cheaper car would prefer to live in a country where the latter is considered preferable to the former. There are countries in the world where that is not the case, perhaps you should move to one.

How about this? We stop paying for the defense of all these other countries around the world and we also stop paying for all the projects we do for other countries around the world, like sewer projects in India and the we stop all the subsudies of the corporation who are suppose to be free enterprise operations surviving on their skills and then we can cut the taxes bigtime, then we form a coop for healthcare that cost everybody $50 per person a month and we hire a company to manage it and the leaner it is the bigger their bonus is, the government is hands off except to review their performance. We still allow insurance companies too provide for those who want it. Its a win win, we cut taxes and everybody has healthcare.

The more money you make, the bigger the target for Ted Kennedy, Pelosi, Harry Reed, and the whole tax and spend bunch.
So beware! Charlie Rangle wants to boost everyones taxes next year, .....especially yours!
People have a right to gain from their hard work, its called incentive.
If we lived in a truely communist country (I used to), they'd let you work your tail off and give everything away to those who the party chairman, in his infinately superior wisdom told you to. B___ S___!
I see all the libs here want to tell you how YOUR money should be spent!

I agree and I'm probably not in you tax bracket. We struggle to make sure we all have health insurance; they shouldn't? I don't mind helping out a kid whose parents are absent, both figuratively or literally, but I'm not helping out anyone's kid because his parents would rather have a vacation home instead.

"Why should I pay for someone else's kids health care just because I'm in a higher tax bracket?"
Balanced against your present medical insurance premiums, you'd be paying less than you are now. Substantially less. everyone would... and everyone would be completely covered.
So, cheer up. You may as well, because it's comin'... whether you like it or not. :)

You shouldn't. No one should be forced to buy goods or services they do not want to. However, as a conservative I do support the idea of civic responsibility. I do not support theft by government or forced charity. Get the federal government out of it and put it at state and community levels where it belongs.
