Safe, nice and decent... Greenbelt 1-5 (yes, GB5 just opened) is the spot, girl!!!
This isn't like Malate. Much, much more class over at Greenbelt where good food, great music, stimulating ambience and nice people are all at one place (man, I sound like a radio commercial).
And do not forget to check out the Filipino cuisine over at Sentro 1771 (that's in Greenbelt 3, 2nd floor).

There are so many thing to do in manila. There are museums, historic places to visit like Intramuros and the night life is vibrant. Good night out places to go to for food, music and drinks are: The Malate district, Greenbelt in Makati, The Fort in Taguig, Libis and Tomas Morato in Quezon City.

conway's bar +63 2 840 0884 Ayala Avenue
Makati Shangri-La Hotel

Good food and excellent performers. For a hotel bar, it's a pretty lively scene. Conway's Bar is truly a place to unwind. The piped-in music and live band playing all-time hits and favorite pop retros are sure to make your stay memorable. On top of that, Conway's offers mouth-watering appetizers to go with your drink. Try Conway's Bite (focaccia with salami, ham, mozzarella, onion and mushroom) or the Stuffed Baby Squid with fried chili and garlic. Conway's carries an extensive list of red and white wines, local and imported beer, and every possible type of spirit.

hard rock cafe
Levels 3 & 4, Glorietta III Ayala Center Makati City

Hard Rock Cafe Manila is the perfect place to cool down with a wide variety of exotic drinks. Drop into the rock pop heaven to immerse yourself in their world famous collection of rock memorabilia featuring artists such as Elvis, John Lennon and the Talking Heads. This is the place to be for a rockin' good time!

jazz rhythms
126 Jupiter Street Manila

For over a decade, jazz lovers have been lured to this music haven. The place is actually a house, with the bar set smack in the center. Dim lights and candlelit tables set the tone of the interior; large groups and intimate couples abound among the customers. Appetizers include calamari (squid), sausages, Gambas (shrimp) and Mushrooms in Garlic and Butter. Try the house specials, like Sizzling Sisig and Baked Clams, to go with your ice cold beer, wine or hard drinks.

Their suggestions are all great. I'd like to add one more venue...the Bluewave in Macapagal Avenue. They have different restaurants in the area and they also have live bands there, different for each day I think.

I suggest you visit all the places mentioned here so you'd be able to experience the different things Manila has to offer!

Enjoy your vacation!
