IT IS REAL

* We emitt 30Gt CO2 per year and the trend is increasing
* CO2 is a proven greenhouse gas
* In turn the greenhouse effect exist and affects the earth.
* This increase of global temperature level is called "global warming"

* Global warming has been considered since 1896... skeptics only recently tried to confuse people since this theory is a problem for their economic agenda.

* Global warming is ONLY DISPUTED IN THE US and almost ONLY BY CONSERVATIVES. This is no surprise in a country which has some of the highest emissions of CO2 per capita.

NOT FACING THE REALITY AND THE THREATS IS BEING IRRESPONSIBLE, A COWARD AND A CRIMINAL TO FUTURE GENERATIONS

i come from the mindset that I really hope the majority of the worlds scientists and meteorologists are wrong about global warming because of the irreversible and bleak outcome of such a trend. However I am not one to argue with research many great minds have devoted their lives to.

In the meantime, I know that my cleaning up my act and being a more responsible person when it comes to consumption can only be a positive. I am more than willing to take those small steps required such as carpooling, transit, recycling, composting, using as many renewable resources as available and simply turning off the lights (which have already been switched to compact fluorescent) when they are not needed.

There isn't a great deal of work or cost to being an Eco friendly person, why some people are so adamantly against cleaning up their habits is a reprehensible. We already know that polluting our water, air and soil are having catastrophic impacts on our heath and ecosystem, global warming aside.

If people refuse to mind their waste, then yes the future is bleak. Even without global warming, imagine how our lives would be impacted without clean air to breath and water to drink.

Global warming is entirely real, mostly caused by humans, and we're running out of time to do something about it.

It never ceases to amaze me that people who have never studied climate science or even read a scientific paper or even read any books or many articles about global warming think they know better than the most expert climate scientists on the planet.

The world has been ending for a very very long time. Its true the minute that you are born you're dying one day at a time.
Global warming is real. Could we erase life from the planet unlikely. It will just be a better world for some life than others.

If Global Warming is really occuring the way some scientists say it is, it might mean some very catastrophic outcomes for life on this planet. Most scientists agree that the planet experiences various forms of climate change; the million dollar question is - how much of this climate change is due to human consumption and waste?

What's made this a topic of such hot debate is the claim that it's already a global scientific consensus that Global Warming is real, caused by humans, and that a related catastrophe is imminent. Former Presidential candidate Al Gore has become famous recently for claims like this. Such a global scientific consensus doesn't truly exist. There are lots of scientists out there who believe in global warming, but feel it can't be proved to be a result of human activities. Other scientists believe global warming is real and is the result of human activities, but who don't feel it is an immediate threat. Still others maintain global warming is simply the manifestation of occasional cyclic climate changes that occur throughout the universe regardless.

All that said, global warming doesn't have to be a scientifically proven fact for us to benefit from being more responsible with our consumption and waste. Most Americans still don't even recycle.

It is undeniable that something is happening to our weather. It is also undeniable that we need new sources of energy as soon as possible. Whether the two are related is really beside the point. There is a need for plans to be made as to how to furnish water to those suffering from droughts and for those who are suffering from flooding. Our food sources could also be effected due to higher temperatures and droughts. It really doesn't matter what is causing it. These issues MUST be addressed in some serious ways.

Global warming is very real. When the ice supplying water to the north Atlantic current is exhausted, real changes will occur. That's one example.

I think our planet is in peril because of selfish human activites from businesses and others. Evidently the environment, livings are all put in danger because of human activities. The poor polar bear's lives are endangered by the melting of ice becuase of global warming and global dimming .

Even the Murdoch-owned Times says so?

My coworker, who follows party orders like a good modern Stalinist Republican, says it's all fake. He must be right, because Glenn Beck told him so.

Global warming is real but it's a natural cycle.

The UN's version is to scre the world into paying a tax to them so they can fund an army. It's called the "Tobin Tax".
