When you live outside the box, you simply do not understand. People who try to give advice and are sure they know what they are talking about really don't. Sometimes it's best that we keep silent and tolerate those who are different.

Yes, on yahoo answers we open our ears and eyes, but in the real world we react naturally to these people. Natural selection.

yes, we should tolerate those who are different, as the same time, sometimes in life we must explain our differences, so that others can learn and develop tolerance
it is up to you to decide what role you wish to play in this, play in life, you must realize that the others are different, they have no understanding of your condition, so you yourself must develop tolerance
and, sad to say, if you are outside the norm, it is you who are outside the box,
hopefully your condition is remedied, if not, i personally would become active in educating people, casually mentioning it, or even if its over, you could mention it after the fact, many simply dont know about conditions like these, and the honest truth is that body odor is often caused by poor personal hygiene , more rarely by medical conditions
i do feel for you, at the same time you cant expect people to understand something they know nothing about, i am 53 years old, and i only heard of this issue last year, it wasnt in my realm of understanding, as i had no information about it

Since you had a medical condition, have you tried to explain it to those who didn't understand as you say? Lots a times, we must communicate to get to be understood! People could not understand if you kept silent and were hoping that they would come out as any kind of specialist and discover what was with you! Misunderstanding and lack of communication usually create confusion and all sort of thoughts come out and they try to figure what. But were you doing your part to be understood? Not everybody is psychic or see through a crystal ball... if people don't give good advice, they try to be good, but, retaining infos is a sure way to be different and not being understood! Think of it the other way around i.e. it would have been someone else and he would have act your way, you just might have not given advice! Take care.

Yes I think so too - about silence and tolerance.
Yes there are conversations to be had but in our own time and space. I don't think many would believe how much bullying goes on when you come out of the box to others; it is just giving them more rope to beat you with To be different is to be careful.
I think we could as a caring society start off inclusive no matter what and agree as a rule of thumb that people have very good reasons for being outside the box. Few place themselves outside by choice.
At the present there is so much fear of difference it is a wonder that anyone speaks to anyone else outside of their family.
We haven't moved very far on this one.

If you smell bad, get your degree on line.
Jeez, have a little consideration. It's hard enough to get an education without some inconsiderate yahoo bringing their personal problems into class.
