You know its better not to be honest if it hurts some one because feeling of a person should be more important than a truth......i feel so....but if it comes to a decision then u should be honest always.

Well you must always be honest in a relationship. No relationship can survive on a lie, however great or small. If you tell a lie to your loved one however small it maybe, if they come to know the truth it is gonna hurt them more, because you lied to them, broke their trust, if you tell the truth people might be angry with you for a while but things gonna be alright with the passage of time. But if you tell a lie then you can never drag that relationship for long as you will be guilty conscious all the time, and would also try to hide one lie by telling another after another.
So always remember :--
HONESTY IS THE BEST POLICY

I think if you explain why you are going to be more honest, and it may hurt some feelings. I think armed with this knowledge, And a slight bit of tact you should be all right. I know it sounds like what you were doing before, but you can tell the truth without a sledge hammer everytime you speak.

If you're not honest with your mate upfront you can run into trust issues from him later, the only way one can get to know and understand you is for you to be honest with them.
Yes at times you should be careful with your honesty, sometimes your approach maybe the one thing that makes it hard for ppl to hear you even if you are 100% right, the bible says that a soft answer turns away wrath.
Have a great day

I have come to the conclusion from my relationship that even if it's going to hurt him, it's better to be honest then to lie because in the long run, lies hurt worse then telling the truth. If you have fear of rejection then maybe he isn't for you. If he really cares about you then he'll listen to whatever you have to say and understand, no matter what it is.

For the boyfriend part, I feel that it's important to be honest with him. I'm sure he'd rather it that way than to have you keeping things from him.

You can put yourself in his shoes, and think about what are the things you feel that you have the right to know and want to know. Probably that can be your limitation. I hope my answer helped. (:

details and examples would help in answering this. But honesty is really the best policy.

The truth will set you free. If rejection is actually the result than you just live with that.

I would be careful to say anything, except to talk about it in general terms.

Run your thoughts by a trusted friend or a religious official or guide, where you worship, first.

I think many people fear rejection.
