My teenager thinks a cloak like Snapes would be cool any idea where to buy one, or where to find a pattern to make one?

Go to your local sewing and fabric store, and look through the pattern books. I have a great pattern for a cloak (cape) that looks a lot like Snape's cloak, it is a Vogue pattern.
