Carbon, Hydrogen, oxygen, and nitrogen form many organic compounds that are present in food. For example: all your vitamins and protiens, and the acids.
Sodium and chlorine make table salt.
Potassium is found in bananas and other foods and Potassium and Iodine make table salt substitutes. Iodine is also found in shell fish. Mercury has been found in fish.

Pick up some food packages and look at the ingredients. You will find things like Iron, Magnesium, Potassium, etc. For fruits and vegetables, check the nutrition charts they have in supermarkets.
