Back in the 80's or early 90's there was some concern about the radiation from computer monitors, and I think there was one study that showed a loose connection between time spent in front of a monitor and miscarriage. That study was later proven wrong by several other studies. Also most screens today are LCD so it's not even the same issue. There is really no cause for concern, but these old ideas do fly around. Always check the copy right days in the books you read to make sure you're getting up to date info (5years or less). Best of luck.

I work 10 hours a day at a computer. How would that even be logical. So in that case if you drive for a long period of time you can miscarry! That is dumb!

It is sad to hear this question from a pregnant person. Obviously this person is not mature enough to know that medical questions can not be answered on an internet board. C'mon, that's what doctors do best. Ask your doctor. Only the doctor knows your health and has the history of your pregnancy to tell you if you have the markings of a miscarriage. Get away from the computer and consult a real doctor. You owe it to your unborn child.

You can miscarry at an time. When your drinking water, waving at a friend, calling someone on the phone, winning the multimillion dollar jack pot, or reading this long boring reply. Being on a computer will not cause a miscarriage.

I doubt it - I have had 3 successful pregnancies and I am a graphic designer that works a lot of over-time... so all I do at work is sit at the computer about 9 hours a day... plus I am on the computer all the time at home. I am a total computer junkie.

I have NEVER heard of that and have been on this computer for hours at a time. I don't know what other people have heard.

I was always told to get up and stretch after sitting for like a half hour or so.

I really don't think so. I was on the computer all the time, since I didn't have any channels on my t.v.. I ended up going a week over my due date.

No. That's not true. I've been using computers all the time, and my pregnancy was fine and my son is very healthy now.

Of course not. I work in front of my computer all day long and then comehome and get on it again. Some people's lists of dos and don'ts today are just simply stupid.
