I'm a Jew and most of my friends are Jews. We're all very proud to call ourselves Jews!

I am not jewish but the jewish people I know are very proud but also discreet about it for many reasons including avoiding confrontation with certain prejudice people

I'm a Jew.
But nobody believes me.
I'm a bad Jew, I celebrate Christmas (who knows why, my whole family dislikes the Christian religion, and Russians don't celebrate Christmas), I haven't celebrated Hanukkah properly in....ever, actually.
Despite all this, I am proud to be a Jew.
I am a Russian Jew.

I am, and my whole family too.
And yes, proud of it. Why not?
As the saying goes "It's hard to be a Jew", so I think anyone who wasn't proud to be a Jew has the option of dropping-out, or even converting to another religion.
Therefore, professed Jews probably do tend to be proud-to-be. If they weren't, it's so easy to succumb to the pressure not-to-be.
