Not a good idea. This is a great excuse to have someone else do the dirty work.

were a mask, have a lot of windows open. What you can do for the smell is mix either Pure Lemon or Pure Vanilla extract in the paint. Just enuf to mask the smell but it has to be pure or it wont work.

A mask and Ventalation is the key
I also believe there are low feume paints out there

Also if you start painting and then feel kinda dizzy stop and don't continue

You need to get a paint that has no fumes. It really is best not to paint from what I have been told. But I would ask my doctor to be sure. Good luck!

My doctor said as long as I am in well ventilated area (windows open, doors open, fans on) I should be ok but my husband has really done all of it. I've done a bit of touch up here & there.

Also, if someone is going to be using varnish or staining something you definitely CANNOT be around that. Just a little tidbit of info for ya!

My OB said it is perfectly fine, as long as the area is ventilated and you are not using oil based paint. Most paint is latex, so unless you are using oil, no worries. Open a window, and give yourself frequest breaks if needed.

IT ALL DEPENDS WHAT TYPE OF PAINT YOUR USING IF IT IS JUST EMULSION THEN YOU WILL BE OK AS IT DOES NOT HAVE NASTY FUMES OR IF YOU ARE NEEDING TO PAINT THE WOODWORK THEN ISTEAD OF BUYING GLOSS BUY SATIN WOOD AS THIS DOES NOT HAVE THE NASTY FUMES EITHER AND IS BETTER FOR YOU AND YOUR UNBORN BABY BUT IF YOU ARE NEEDING TO USE ANY OIL BASED PAINTS THEN GET SOMEONE TO DO IT FOR YOU

You will be fine if you wear a mask.

I wouldn't. My wife is pregnant, and her OBGYN told her to avoid it entirely. Sigh. That's where I come in : )
