If it were me, I'd write a short story. I rather like the spy/political thriller genre.
Good luck with yours.

You should do something about how you feel at that moment. Just make up a story or even write a poem. But you should do it with feeling!!

A story is good and there is advice that you should write about something you know about or that happened to you. How about writing it in the form of a diary but using e-mails to reflect the modernization of writing. You could for example be writing .e-mails to find your birth mother (if you were adopted). I would write them on my computer to made up e-mail addresses (and print them). e.g an e-mail to the adoption place saying you are looking for your mother, were you were born etc, who adopted you. A made-up e-mail from the agency saying they will look and update you, an e-mail you write to your friend about how the search makes you feel, an e-mail to your adoptive parents explain how grateful you are, what great parents they are, how if you find your mother/father it will not change your relationship with them, an e-mail from the agency that they have found your birth mother and an e-mail you send to your birth mother. OR you could be sending e-mails to an Ana group, explaining how anorexia makes you feel, with e-mails back from a fellow friend and perhaps then an e-mail from someone else in that group saying that the friend has died etc. You could do a love story or even do one were you are Anne Boleyn and are e-mailing your friend/sister/dad about your relationship with Henry. I would print out the e-mails and place in a folder for the coursework.

why not watch one of your favorite movies and look for ideas? or sit back and watch it, then reflect on why it's your favorite movie... and then create a character based on that (maybe someone who's obsessed with the main character- I have a friend, seriously, who thinks Mr. Darcy from Pride and Prejudice is her dream man and lusts after him... I haven't really gotten all the details from her though, I think it's better for me not to know!).

Do you have a pet? why not create a story about your pet? Or what kind of pet you ALWAYS wanted and what you'd do (be it fictional or real or a combination of both) to get one.

I would write a short story about it... but I haven't always been into poems, so that's not my forte.

Just a couple of ideas...

Good luck and enjoy!

How about writing a short story about how someting came about? Like... it doesn't have to be really how something came about. I would pick an invention or an activity and make up a humorous story about how someone stumbled upon it and invented it.
