u sure on my paper i put that one answer and said it was wrong....

if that one is right then maybe it was the other question ((scan tron machines..they suck))) heres the other question

The area of a concrete patio is 324m(squared). if the width iis 18m, what is the length

You would multiply both sides by V and get

DV=M and then you would divide both sides by D and get

V= M/D

As for the area - area of a rectangle is LengthxWidth=Area

So if your area is 324m^2 you would divide it by 18m and would get
18m as your answer.

The answer is V = D / M.
Consider,

D = M / V

Now multiply both sides by V.

V * D = M / V * V (the V's on the right side cancel out)

V * D = M

Now divide both sides by D.

V * D / D = M / D (the D's on the left side cancel out)

And

V = M / D

is your answer.

=============================================
Recall that area is simply the product of width times length, for a rectangle at least. So, the formula below is what you should use.

A = W * L

Since the area is given to be 324 m^2 and the width is 18 m, you can find the length very simply.

A = W * L

Now divide both sides by W.

A / W = W / W * L (the W's cancel out... starting to see a pattern in the types of questions asked here?)

A / W = L

So the length is

L = A / W = (324 m^2) / (18 m) = 18 m.

Since the width is equal to the length, we know that this shape is not actually a rectangle but a square. This is because squares have equal sides.

Hope this helped!

if density = mass / volume

then volume = mass / density

for the other question:

Area = width x length
324 = 18 x length
length = 324 / 18
length = 18

hope this helps!

Here's a link to a page that has the formula and steps.

*when it says multiply both sides by volume, they used the x as a multiplication sign, don't think of it as a variable letter x.

Hope this helps.

V=M/D which its unit (SI unit) m^3 or (British unit) ft^3
or if you have the dimensions (height and the area ) =>
V=Area * height (unit m^3 or ft^3)

Good luck then
