Larry, you really should really review your figures !
DeutchMark is no longer used by Germany, they use Euro
1 dollar is worth 0.6 Euro
1 dollar is worth 108 Yen
1 dollar is worth 39 rupees
Franc is no longer used by France (They use Euro).
But you still have some other Francs: Swiss Franc, Pacific Franc, CFA Franc

The offical name for american money is "Dollar(s)"
The terms bucks, moola, greenbacks, Yuppie food cupons, are NOT acceptable in formal documents.
We are NOT going to use Dirahms, Rupee's, Pounds, Franc's, Guilders, Yen, or Dong- its the simple fact that America is made up from every nationality on this planet. It would simply be too hard to keep track of everyones national orgins currency!!
Consider: A dollar is worth the following (Give or take a bit at this time) 1 Deschutemark 50 phingings, (Germany) 2 Euro's (from the EC) 1200 yen (Japan) 25000 rupee's (Depending which country)
And the French surrender too often, so the Franc here is worth nothing! ;)
Good Luck

We use it here in Canada, but we also have a 'dollar'. I have never heard of it being used with Rupees, but why not? The buck doesn't necessarily have to stop here.

I've only heard it used refering to American dollars. Not sure what the Canadians nicknamed their money. DOE-lars, eh.

We use it for the Canadian dollar, so it doesn't only mean US dollar.
