I only have a 300W power supply and I want to run this card: http://www.amazon.com/BFG-GeForce-7800-GDDR3-Graphics/dp/B000EH5A5Y

What would happen? The card calls for 400W.

Purchase and install a bigger power supply. 4 screws and a few wires. No big deal. Will probably be cooler and quieter then your existing power supply too.

you shouldn't be able to apply a low-end get entry to point card to play video games at optimal settings. you may play video games on low settings. Nvidia GT 210 or GT 220 will artwork on three hundred watts.

Get a 500 W its cheap these days, wishing it to work wont do much, so go and buy it or steal it.
i suggest the second option.
