Say you have a guy friend for a year or so and you go get together one night (after flirting online for a while). Say he wants you to sleep with him and you hold back as you're the slow moving type. Is it possible that he could interpret this as a lack of interest in him on your part? I mean, would he feel rejected by you and a bit hurt/annoyed? (this guy is in his mid 20s).

I wouldn't, if you explained your rationale.

There is no telling how a young man in his 20s will take your sexual rejection. I suggest you use a technique I found to work most of the time when working through a problem. Communicate. Let him know that you are not interested in sexual relations just yet and that you like to know more about a guy before you cross that bridge. Be honest and sincere and do not give in to pressure or as a means to keep him from walking away. If he is interested in you for you, he will understand and accept your feelings and in the long run, respect you.

It doesn't matter how your actions are interpreted by him; what matters is that you remain true to yourself. You don't owe him a thing. "Flirting online" is a long way from actual physical contact. Take things at your own pace and don't feel guilty. If he really likes you and is not just looking for a quick score, he will be willing to spend time on the physical getting to know you, just as he was, online.

It is considered a bit forward for a girl to kiss on the first date, let alone f***. If you sleep with guys on the first date you will achieve a reputation as a tramp or ****, take your pick. You certainly won't be taken home to meet any of the guy's mothers.

Not if he is a decent kind of guy. You should spend time getting to know each other without both expecting to jump into bed. You never know there might just be more too relationships.
