The reports they give are not for the government, but showing the injustice that private citizens are suffering at the hands of the government. One for example are veterans who are injured in war and not given the full benefits that they should receive. Or a state that is forcing parents to immunize their children or face a $50 fine a day for not doing it even though there are laws protecting those by their religious beliefs or medical concerns. How is this biased reporting?

Yes, they show small incidents like that. But it does not show the most important sometimes. Those news doesn't seem to be too closely related with the central government.
PS: There was a time when it aired that 8 soldiers has died that day, the soldier that actually saw the media reported that only one died that day.

If CNN were controlled by the government then they would NEVER have produced "Planet in Peril", or have Anderson Cooper as host of a show, or have the Latino son of one illegal immigrant host of a show, or have Lou Dobbs as host of a show.
The Conservatives dislike CNN because they seem to be the only TV news source that has the TIME and money to do investigative journalism anymore. Their investigations have turned up lot of dirt on Republicans and Democrats alike.
The Bush Administration doesn't like to be looked at too hard. Anyone with even an average IQ, be they conservative or liberal, has figured out this is one of the most corrupt presidents ever.
CNN is just telling it like it is. They are doing their job. If some don't like that, well then I guess they are corrupt too.

They have an agenda. All news channels have an agenda, some are more obvious than others. For the most part, the goal is money. Which means they need high ratings and lots of viewers. Doing what it takes to secure ratings and viewers sometimes means putting a little spin on the truth...

Who thinks CNN is controlled by the government? I have heard people, including me, claim various 'news' sources were controlled be various politically motivated groups, but this is a new one to me.
NOTE: ALL information sources ARE biased and DO have an agenda. Some deny their agenda and others admit it, but EVERY human being has one.

CNN controlled by the government? I would surmise that the Fox News controls the government instead. (Fox = 24 hour fake news all-the-time)
