My cousin and his wife became grandparents at 37; they were 18 when they had Pam, and Pam was 18 when she had Cassie. So Mike and Deb were grandparents at 37. I'm 33 now and can't imagine it.

So, who are the youngest grandparents that you know personally? Not ones that you may have heard of or read about, but know personally?

I was a grandmother at 33. I now have 13 grandchildren and helped my grandson this last Sept. move to his first Apt. in Sacramento. He attends Sacramento State.....Because of him around 45 I was getting senior discounts... I did not realise it for about a month. I went to the movies and he was calling me grandma and the young girl gave me the senior price for the movie. Then when his friends started working around town restaurants swimming pools, scuba shop they just gave me the discount.knowing I was Ruben's grandmother...Abuela is grandmother in Spanish...I love being a mother of six and grandmother of 13....Most people think I am around 35 (not to sound vain because I love being 53 and get (a little upset ) when younger men hit up on me and Tell them I could me their grandmother:0) I still play a great game of baseball.(smile)..I am full blooded Spanish with no Gray hair or wirnkles waiting lovely for my Gray hair and wrinkles... My friend was a great grandmother at 50 and she honestly looks like a young pretty late 30's early 40's....We baby boomers do not look like our grandmother's.........

I knew a woman who became a grandma at 32-- she had her daughter at 16 and her daughter had a girl at 16. I imagine history repeats itself.

My sister-in-law's (my husband's brother's wife's) mother was 37, I think. We don't know how old SIL's "father" is. Mother had SIL at 15, and then SIL had my niece at 22.

My aunt's mom. She was 29 when she became a grandma. She had my aunt when she was 14(first marriage), and my aunt had her first child at 15.
And my aunt is old enough to be my mom's mom.
