Why is the act of reproduction so pleasureable...?

What could be a very good logical explanation for this.

It is a way of perpetuating the species. If nature would not have provide the nervous cells and brain activity to feel pleasure, humans would not be interested, same thing about eating, we have to feel interest in food so we don't die.

Have you noticed that most natural pleasurable things are about keeping humans alive and healthy?

Sex
Drinking water
Eating
Doing exercise
Interest in using our minds (when applied lol)

If the evolutionary reason for sex being pleasureable was for reproduction, human beings will have sexual urges only during a brief period every 9 months like most of the other animals.

The evolutionary reason for sex becoming enjoyable and both males and females having sexual urge throught out the year and females having sexual urge even during pregnancy is because the sexual acts have evolved in to the role of cementing the bond between a male and female living as a family.

A family is required to bring up human infants who have the loooongest period of infant to adult growth (18 to 21 yrs). To keep the family and bonding strong, sex took up the extra job (other than procreation).

Sex is pleasureable so that a male and female stay together and bring up thier offsprings well.

There was a time where our species (much like most species today) couldn't see the connection between the act of sex and the act of reproduction, so the best way evolution had to encourage them to perpetuate their genes was making the coitus a really pleasurable experience.
Pretjene: Dolphins do it for pleasure too!
They have a yearly period of reproduction, but have sex all the time!
Interesting hehe.

However, it still gives me the giggles.

And Bonobo monkeys have sex for pleasure, too.

Because if it was like eating Brussels sprouts, nobody would do it, and the human race would have died out before it began.

If it didn't feel good, no one would do it. Then reproduction would stop and humans would die out.
