I received a letter from my daughter's school that said that not only will she be a participant in the gifted & talented curriculum, but she has been placed into an "upper level" G&T class.

I'm a single mom, times are always hard. All I have is the love for my children. And to hear from teachers how wonderful my children are, makes me feel really good inside. I know that I do my best, but sometimes I always wonder if that's good enough. But when I ask my kids' teachers what I need to do at home to help them in school, to hear "whatever you're doing at home, keep doing it..."

Really makes me feel good.

I belong to an Ethical Circle at the Ethical Society. We also had a special day at Borders, when they would donate 20% of all sales at a special cash register to our Nursery School. So I asked the group if anyone wanted to go over to Borders and spend some money for the good of the nursery school, and Joe agreed to give me a ride over. Between the two of us, we made a rather significant donation to the nursery school, and also had a lovely time together. Since I've found it hard to make friends since I moved to St. Louis, this was really gratifying.
