I have not always had a good life so I know what it means to be down n' out, depressed, wondering how I will pay the rent, in a bad and unhappy relationship etc. These past few years are so totally wonderful and happy for me. I have so much to be grateful for and never take that for granted. I am truly blessed! I have four fantastic, successful adult children who love me and treat me like a queen. I am also lucky enough to have 13 beautiful grandchildren from 8 mo's-27yrs that adore their Nana. Just every part of my life is like a dream to me.
I thank God for all of my blessings every day. How could I not be happy? What a great question. Here's your star...

Some people's personalities are that they are happy. It is a natural state for them. But, this is not a perfect thing, because when the person should be sad about something, he is not. So, go figure.
Now, if you are religious, you may be happy because everything is out of your hands and into the hands of the Lord. There is nothing that you should worry about.
Older people may seem happy for many reasons, although they are losing their good looks. Their hormones have leveled, they now know its no point in worrying, they are wiser, and they are over the worst things that can happen in life. They also may be secure financially and they have good control now of their lives. So, there you are! Old age is not so bad after all!
Don't worry. Be happy.

I owe it all to COFFEE! No drugs or meds or cigs...just coffee & physical pain. I'm not happy ALL of the time...just MOST of the time. I don't know if I'd call it inner peace...for me it's more like War & Peace & I just try to keep a balance somewhere in the middle of my personal battlefield between life & death! I love life..it's people that I have problems with. I have to accept them or I'll end up unhappy too! It's a spiritual thing! The power of positive thinking works 4 me!

I'm not happy all the time, but most of the time. I wake up everyday. I'm in pretty good health. I have my share of aches and pains, but I can still get around. I have two sons and a couple of good friends. I enjoy my activities. They are few, but worthwhile. I can enjoy my own company. Good thing because I do spend a lot of time alone. I can fill the hours. I am happy to be my age and not starting out in the chaos that has become this world.

I'm not happy all the time, but I am blessed. I have the Lord in my life. I have family and friends who care for me. There are people there to listen, when I have something I need to talk about. I've learned not to hang on to negative things and to know what I can change and what I have to let go.

I can't find much to complain about. I'm healthy. My mind seems to work as well as ever. I have a few good friends. I have my basic needs met; I'm fed, warm, comfortable. My mind gets some daily stimulation. My family are healthy and seem reasonably productive and happy. Can't find much to really worry about unless I really search. It's a good time of life. Probably most important is I've learned to be content and thankful for what I've got.
I'm 63 years young.

I am so happy, all the time because I was able to retire at 55, and really enjoy life. I have been retired two years now, and love every minute of my life....family, friends, and all the blessing the Lord has given me!

A really great bunch of friends can go a long way to bring happiness and joy .It is an outlet for our rants and a place to get advice or even just a laugh that brings me peace.

I believe that life is full of choices, and it is my choice to be happy. Most of the things I cannot change anyways. It is the Serenity prayer....serenity to accept the things I cannot change, courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference. I finally have the wisdom.
