There is Ulster And the republic/frees state/ southern Ireland Ulster is for England, heavens No's why I don't think the south would be able to afford the North Hopefully the two will learn to live together and may be in the fullness of time be almost as one a bit say like England and Scotland

Pope Adrian IV, an Englishman, gave Ireland to the English crown in the 1100's. It was all downhill from there for the Irish, and yet they remained true to the very Church that sold them down the river...

The Republic of Ireland is independant and has never been conquered.
The only part of Ireland that remains colonised is the six counties of Ulster which form Northern Ireland which is part of the U.K.
