It seems to be a metaphysical painting,; it tends to be of classical architecture in distorted perspective, with incongruous objects placed around the image space, and an absence of people. Perhaps from van Aykes, perhaps a PC creation.

I'm 90% sure it is a detail from a piece by Salvador Dali.

Do a web search for him and check out his paintings. I'll bet you come up with the one in a very short time. I'm guessing it is the background for "Persistance of Memory."

Interesting... reminds me of a combination of Salvador Dali, Yves Tanguy, and Giorgio De Chirico...
